The commitment of the Comunidad de Madrid by trimming the deficit, which was reflected in its reduction from 1.96% in 2011 to 1.07% in 2012 and a strong compromise to reduce it to 0.7% in 2013, supports its current ratings. The budget for 2013 set new spending cuts by more than €1,400 million in non-financial expenditure and it adds to the strongly committed of the central government to avoid stress at the regional level. All this it´s complimented by the Madrid commitment with efficient and sustainable public expenditure. A situation that provides greater resistance to Madrid´s accounts under stress scenarios, especially when agencies like S&P forecast that its economy to grow by 0.6% in 2014 and 1.2% in 2015.
