The ACAP was set up in 2002 with the aim to promote improvements in teaching, research and management quality and to increase the efficiency of the university system in the Community of Madrid to meet our society’s expectations for cultural progress and excellence in higher education.
Our organisation is founded on several key principles: the independence of assessment entities; the objectivity of our methods and procedures and their publication ; the impartiality of the managing bodies; and university participation in these quality improvement programmes.
The Agency is committed to quality and the improvement of higher education as a way to contribute to our region’s progress. It also aims to be a useful tool for universities and for citizens in general.
