Service Charter
The Service Charter of the Quality, Accreditation and Forecasting Agency of the Universities of Madrid was approved and published in Madrid Community’s Official Gazette on 20 July 2010, in accordance with the terms set in Decree 85/2002 of 23 May by the Madrid Community’s Governing Council, which regulates public service quality assessment systems and approves quality criteria for the administration’s performance. The charter includes the Agency’s mission statement and vision, as well as the services provided to citizens and the commitments the ACAP has made. It corroborates that ACAP activities are carried out according to principles of quality and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The ACAP Service Charter defines and publicises the commitments made for services to be provided and increases citizens’ and institutions’ access to them. It is also a key element guiding the ACAP’s work regarding quality management and continuous improvement.

The Service Charter also reinforces the principles of transparency and interest-group orientated publicity in accordance with the European Higher Education Area’s Quality Assurance Criteria and Directives

The services offered by the ACAP are:

  1. Assessment of Madrid university teaching candidates
  2. Accreditation of the support services for students, professors and other social agents that Madrid universities provide.
  3. Accreditation of faculty performance assessment systems at Madrid’s universities.
  4. Accreditation of official degrees at universities and higher education centres in the Community of Madrid.
  5. Forecasting reports and studies in the field of higher education.
  6. Guidance in the creation of higher education quality models at Madrid universities.
  7. Training and information-providing initiatives on higher education.
