Aware of the important public service mission has been entrusted to us, the Quality, Accreditation and Forecasting Agency of the Universities of Madrid believes that quality is an essential factor in carrying out our functions. In this regard, the ACAP focuses all efforts on continuously improving our service. This is grounded in management through processes, an orientation to recipients of the service and to results, all within the framework of developing innovation and learning.
The Agency’s initiatives can be found in our Quality Policy, presented by ACAP management to the Steering Committee in March 2010.

The Quality Policy includes our mission statement and vision, and also establishes the Agency’s quality values, objectives and commitments.

The ACAP carries out this policy in our daily work through our:

  • Internal Quality Management System (IQMS): orientates, organises and relates the Agency’s different processes, certified in international quality management standards UNE-ISO 9001:2008.
  • Service Charter: notifies society as a whole of the services citizens are provided and commitments the ACAP has taken on.
  • Code of Ethics: contains the commitments taken on by ACAP professionals and others acting on the Agency’s behalf.
  • European Higher Education Quality Criteria: govern and guide all of the Agency’s actions in the deployment of our assigned competences. They are also, therefore, considered principles of action within the Internal Quality Management System itself.
