Sweeney Todd (El barbero diabÓlico de la calle Fleet)

It is 19th century London and Sweeney Todd, wrongly imprisoned by a lecherous judge, returns home with a new identity, swearing revenge.
Nobody waits for him at home - his wife has poisoned herself and the judge who sentenced him is now guardian of his daughter. Disillusioned with his fellow human beings, he sets about remaking his life with pastry cook, Mrs Lovett, who makes suspicious meat pies.
Onstage, Vicky Peña and Joan Crosas play the protagonists of this Victorian melodrama, spiced with murders, dramatic escapes and a captivating finale. A Teatro Español production of the Stephen Sondheim musical which won both public and critical acclaim at the 1995 Festival de Otoño and which has received more than 20 awards.
