"Patrice Thibaud imposes himself like a maestro with a boundless range and inspiration"
- ANNIE CHENIEUX, LE JDD
Ladies and gentlemen, please take your seats! The Olympic Games are about to begin. After visiting Spain on three occasions with the acclaimed Cocorico in 2009, 2010 and 2011 (in the latter he also performed the delightful Jungles), the Gallic duo made up of comic Patrice Thibaud and multi-instrumentalist Philippe Leygnac return to Madrid in their latest venture, Fair Play, which can be seen at the end of October in the Sala Verde of the Teatros del Canal.
As elegant as Tati and as flavoursome as de Funès, Thibaud and Leygnac this time surprise their audience, attempting to turn the phrase "even faster, higher and stronger" into reality by converting themselves into two daring athletes whose aim is to make sure the public do not stop wriggling with laughter in their seats. And all this without saying a single word. The work, in the true tradition of mime, showcases once more the duo's fresh, affectionate and sharp humour. The sporting disciplines of high risk, whether they be a race, a football match, or a gymnastics event are performed by these two champions of comedy, who transform the events of an hilarious Olympic Games in the way only they can while, at the same time, putting their unusual athletes' bodies firmly under the spotlight.
