Andy Warhol, artists, models, cinema directors, advertising agents - a diverse tribe of flamboyant and colourful characters, united by art and remote from what normal society would consider as acceptable. This is The Silver Factory, Warhol’s creative studio on East 47th Street in the 1970s. Bohemian New York, the Velvet Underground - everyone and everything meeting in the collective fantasy which is Factory 2. Onstage, discussions, improvisation, experimental films and a camera following the whole process. Warhol and Lupa, better known for his productions based on the works of Thomas Bernhard, make a formidable pairing. Factory 2 was first performed in Krakow’s Stary Teatr on February 16 this year.
