“I am confused. I’ve left the script and I feel lost. I’m trying to ease my conscience. I repeat to myself over and over again that I cannot do anything and that those that can do something are not doing it either, that it’s a blind, deaf and mute world, that I have no eyes, ears or mouth but is that what I want? Do I want to live like this?” This is how the Apata Teatro company approaches So Happy Together, a fictional work based on real stories, a raw cry which allows the voice of Jews and Muslims to be heard through the words of four contemporary writers. Four monologues, four heart-rending stories which show, once more, that reality exceeds fiction, putting into question the world in which we live, a world governed by the politics of fear.
