“A story without a lead character is a story that cannot begin”.
El libro de Toji
(Tori's Book) is a trip that begins the day when The Author finds his name,
by chance, linked to the life of a soldier of the Spanish Civil War. A
transmedia piece of documentary self-fiction which dives itself into the
archives in search of memory. An artefact against silence.
From a residence for writers in South Korea called Toji (in English: land),
to a prison in Orduña, we accompany the journey of an identity that
unfolds, that appears and disappears, like a ghost. A single desire: to
bridge the no man's land that exists between the living and the dead,
between us and our disappeared ones.
Playwright and scriptwriter, Antonio Rojano (Córdoba, 1982) is the author of over fifteen theatre texts, including his latest productions: Ricardo III (Richard III) (El Pavón Teatro Kamikaze, 2019); Hombres que escriben en habitaciones pequeñas (Men who write in small rooms) (CDN, 2019); Catástrofe (Catastrophe) (Sala Cuarta Pared, 2019);Furiosa Escandinavia (Furious Scandinavia) (Teatro Español, 2017);DioS K (God K) (Teatro Español, 2016); and La ciudad oscura (The dark city) (CDN, 2015).
