Tejido Abierto-Tejido Beckett

Jorge Eines (Buenos Aires, 1949) is a drama professor, theatre director and a specialist in dramatic technique theory as well as the founder and director of his own drama school. For this production, Tejido Abierto-Tejido Beckett takes the form of a theatrical adventure in which Carmen Vals, Inma González, Dani Méndez and Alexander Caballero create a sequence of situations to evoke a range of archetypal characters from the works of Samuel Beckett such as Vladimir, Estragon, Krapp, Winnie, Pozzo, Lucky, Moran, Molloy and Malone.

The moon shines down on four obsessed enthusiasts of the Irish writer's work in an abandoned railway station. They have been instructed to go there by an anonymous letter. Each of them has to bring along one of Beckett's characters together with a literary text. A trolley, a suitcase and a large bag contain everything they need...

Eines says of this work, which is divided into four sections: "We're looking for the origin. Not to be original but to discover from the onstage reality a fabric made up of interactions between situations and characters... The dramatic potential of the characters will generate humorous, affectionate and emotional situations, sharing with the audience an intense experience close to the meaning of life."
