The great muse of independent cinema Isabella Rossellini returns to her passion for wildlife in the play Green Porno, Live on Stage, premiering in Spain in June 2015 as the resplendent closing of the 32nd Festival de Otoño en Primavera edition. With large doses of humour, the unforgettable face of Lancôme and leading lady of cult movies such as David Lynch’s Blue Velvet, offers here a charmingly eccentric performance in which she explores the sexual life of the creatures that inhabit our garden: Rossellini tackles many cases, from the deadliest spiders’ marital life to the bedroom habits of worms, bees or dragonflies… For it is precisely in nature where the actress has come across the juiciest bedroom scandals, as she will insist on proving in a most graphic and hilarious way throughout the show (even in costume).
Following her award-winning series of short films also titled Green Porno which will be projected as a backdrop to her monologue, Rossellini is drawn again to this wonderfully strange and playful natural habitat, where she explores in detail the private lives of the widest range of animals, and reveals to her audience that biology is one of the greatest shows in the world. Critics have acclaimed Green Porno, Live on Stage as an ‘undeniably funny and entertaining production. Ridiculously charming and impossible to resist’ (The Hollywood Reporter) or ‘fascinating, an evidence of Nature’s incredible diversity’ (The New York Times).
