Le Grand C

Cie XY came into being in 2005 thanks to an initiative by Abdel Senhadji and Mahmoud Louertani. With Laissez-Porter, their first production, this group of 18 actors visited 15 countries, making a total of 200 performances. In 2009, they premiered Le Grand C, a contemporary circus show which mixes different generations and skills to tell stories using its own poetic language. The acrobats' bodies draw arabesque designs, build impressive metres-high human columns and pyramids, all with astonishing ease. They jump, dance and resonate in a virtuoso display of acrobatic ballet. Le Grand C takes us on a voyage from the circus ring to the sky.
